Beacon Hospital opens new state-of-the-art Breast Centre

Professor Cathal Kelly, Vice Chancellor, Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of RCSI, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), one of the most prestigious distinctions in international surgery.

Beacon Hospital has officially opened its new Beacon Breast Centre, a purpose-built facility providing rapid access to breast cancer diagnosis and assessment, treatment, aftercare, and support services, all under one roof.

The Centre has doubled in physical size and tripled its patient capacity. With modern, private, and patient-focused surroundings, it offers timely access to specialist care, reduced waiting times, and faster reporting of results.
