The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) has welcomed the publication by the HSE of the National Clinical Guidance for the Elective Care Facilities (November 2025), a comprehensive resource designed to support healthcare professionals in delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient elective surgical care.
RCSI has announced a landmark report, Supporting Surgeons in Ireland, at the 2025 Millin Meeting. The publication reviews existing supports for surgeons and trainees and sets out key recommendations on mentorship, leadership development, communication and CPD, with the aim of future-proofing the surgical workforce and sustaining excellence in patient care.
Blackrock Health has officially opened the Blackrock Health Women’s Health Centre — Ireland’s most comprehensive private, consultant-led centre dedicated to women’s health. Located at 2–5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2, the facility brings together a team of 28 consultants and 30 multidisciplinary staff across specialties including gynaecology, cardiology, endocrinology, urogynaecology, dermatology, pain medicine, psychology, and rheumatology.
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences has announced the launch of Humanarium, Ireland’s first dedicated health and well-being exhibition space. Supported by Blackrock Health, AIB, Lanas, and HSE Healthy Ireland, Humanarium will open at RCSI’s new building at 118 St Stephen’s Green in early 2026.
